Rated 5 out of 5 by from Succulence in a bag! I tried this when our kitchen was being renovated and I had to use the microwave. The succulence of the fish together with the sauce was delicious. No additives, juicy fillets and great taste.I have difficulty finding good fish where I live and this was a godsend as I don't like 'ready meals' , preferring to supplement with my own veg and sides.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from didn't like sauce The fish was OK, although for £4 the portions were very small. The sauce was tasty enough, but way too thin, and gushed out of the bag all over the plate in a watery puddle.

2 Cod Fillets In A Tomato and Rosemary Sauce

There are evenings during the week when you just fancy something a bit more special. That's why we created Birds Eye Inspirations; a collection of mouth-watering dishes made with only the freshest, finest ingredients. We've partnered succulent cod fillets with a tomato, rosemary and sage sauce; steamed and infused in flavour-lock bags. After all, the weekend is in sight - you deserve a bit of a treat.

Preparation

Tastiest when OVEN BAKED STRAIGHT FROM THE FREEZER.

Oven cook - From Frozen

  • Pre-heat oven 190°C, Fan 170°C, Gas Mark 5, 30 mins.
  • Place the bag containing the fish on a baking tray. Middle of oven.
  • Do not pierce the bag.
  • Two or more portions may require longer time.

Alternatively, Microwave

  • Full Power 1 bag, 650W/B 5 mins, 750W/D 4 1/2 mins, 850W/E 4 1/2 mins.
  • Full Power 2 bags, 650W/B 9 mins, 750 W/D 8 mins, 850W/E 8 mins.

To Serve:

  • Remove the bag from the oven/microwave, shake gently.
  • Tear or cut the end of the bag with scissors. Be careful, bag and contents will be hot!
  • Fish comes in all sorts of shapes and sizes, and so do ovens and microwaves, so while you’ll always get a tasty fish dish the shape of fillet and sauce quantity may also vary.

Please ensure food is cooked until piping hot. These instructions are guidelines only. Do NOT refreeze after defrosting.
