Southern-Style Chicken Burger INGREDIENTS:
A Pack of Chicken Shop Ultimate Fillet Burgers

Coleslaw
Bacon Rashers
A good dollop of sauce like ranch dressing, mayo or ketchup. For a bit of heat you can mix the mayo with Cajun spices mix.
Sizzling Chicken Burger INGREDIENTS:
A Pack of Birds Eye Chicken Shop Sizzler Burgers

Burger Buns with Sesame Seeds

Lettuce Leaves

Sliced Tomato
Mayo

Method

  1. Southern-Style Chicken Burger Recipe:

    No need to reach out for the deep fryer to make your own fried chicken to try and recreate that special blend of spices– we’ve got your back.  For this recipe you will need a pack of Birds Eye Chicken Shop Ultimate Fillet Burgers, a juicy chicken fillet coated already in southern fried style breadcrumbs.

  2. Start by cooking the Birds Eye Chicken Fillet Burgers. You can cook them in the oven straight from frozen so pre-heat the oven to: 210°C, Fan 190°C, Gas Mark 8. Place the fillet burgers on a tray in the middle of the oven.

  3. Turn over halfway through cooking. Cook until crisp, for about 20-24 mins.

  4. Meanwhile start prepping your other ingredients.

  5. Make the coleslaw following our recipe.

  6. Cook the bacon rashers as per your preference. If you’re looking to save some time, pop them in the oven as well since it’s already hot. Allow 2-3 rashers per burger.

  7. Toast the buns either in the toaster, the oven, on the grill or even in a pan with a knob of butter.

  8. Once the chicken is done, take it out of the oven and allow it to cool for a few minutes.

  9. Start assembling your burger: bottom bun, coleslaw, chicken fillet, bacon, mayo, top bun.

  11. Sizzling Chicken Burger Recipe:


    Our second recipe idea is for those looking for a bit of a kick. Using our Chicken Shop Sizzler Burgers, you can make a delicious spicy burger at home that would rival any takeaway order.  These tender chicken breasts are coated in a mix of spicy breadcrumbs giving these fillets a “medium hot” rating. If you are brave and want to go hotter, throw some hot sauce in the mix.
  12. Pre-heat the oven to cook the Chicken Shop Sizzler Burger straight from frozen: 210°C, Fan 190°C, Gas Mark 8. Place the fillets on a tray in the middle of the oven.

  13. Turn the chicken burgers halfway through cooking. Cook for 20-24 mins until crisp.

  14. Prep your other ingredients whilst the chicken is cooking.

  15. Toast the buns to your preference. You can toast them in the oven, since it’s already in use.

  16. Once the chicken is cooked, take it out and allow it to cool for few minutes.

  17. If you want to make your burger spicier you can make a mix of mayo and hot sauce. Just add as many drops of hot sauce in the mayo as you can handle. If the chicken has plenty of spice for you, then just stick to mayo.

  18. Assemble your burger: bottom bun, chicken fillet, lettuce, tomato, spicy mayo, top bun.

  19. Enjoy and ask for seconds!
