Pea Ice cream is simply delicious! We combine our love of frozen peas with ice cream to create this fun dish. To top it off we've added bacon wafers.

Ingredients

Birds Eye garden peas

semi-skimmed milk
250 
g
 
single cream

g
 
sugar

g
 
water
4-5 
mint leaves

streaky bacon

Our method

  1. Pour the milk, cream, sugar and peas into a pan and heat to 85°C.
  2. Add the water and mint and blend until smooth.
  3. Cover with a lid or cling film and let stand in the fridge until cold.
  4. Fill your ice cream maker with the mixture and freeze.
  5. To make the wafers, bake the bacon at 200˚C for 7–8 minutes until crispy.
  6. Remove the bacon from the oven and pat dry with kitchen paper.
  7. Insert the wafers into the ice cream and serve.
