What are the Benefits of a Plant-Based Diet?

A plant-based diet involves consuming more plant foods, and can be either flexitarian, vegetarian or vegan. This means eating lots of vegetables, fruits, plant proteins, nuts & seeds, and starchy carbohydrates.

We all know it’s important to have a healthy balanced diet, and while some might think reducing animal products will impact on getting important vitamins and minerals, a more plant-based diet actually has plenty of nutritional value and comes with lots of health benefits!

What is Plant-Based Protein?

 

Protein is a staple macronutrient that we all need to consume and it plays an important role in helping our bodies grow, develop and repair. While reaching for some meat might seem like the default choice when it comes to topping up the protein, plant-based protein is a great alternative that provides numerous nutrients – it also has sustainability benefits too.
