Southern Fried Chicken-Free Burger and Chips | Birds Eye

Looking for a cost-effective and simple to follow alternative to a takeaway that is equally as delicious? Look no further as we have designed this mouth-watering southern fried chicken-free burger and chips recipe that can be created from your freezer!

Our method

  1. (For the chicken-free grill) Pre-heat the oven to 200°C, Fan 180°C, Gas mark 6.

  2. Place 1 southern fried grill on a baking tray in the middle of the oven. Cook for 25 mins (as per pack instructions), until crisp.  

  3. (For the chips) Pre-heat the oven to 230°C, Fan 210°C, Gas Mark 8.
  4. Place chips evenly on a baking tray on the middle shelf of the oven. Cook for 25-30 mins (as per pack instructions), until lightly golden. Turn over halfway through.
  5. Add 1 slice of vegan cheese on top of the cooked southern fried grill.

  6. Place the southern fried grill inside a brioche bun, top with slaw and 1 sliced gherkin.

  7. Enjoy!
