There are many good reasons to reduce your meat intake, such as for your health (and the planet’s), but adopting a vegetarian, vegan or flexitarian diet may not always be the best option for everyone.

But there are ways you can cut back on meat without having to commit to a full-time lifestyle change, like taking part in the Meat-Free Monday craze! This way you can bring some fun and culinary creativity when tackling the start of the week, and feel all warm and fuzzy inside for doing something good for the planet.

If you’re pressed for time and want to whip up a tasty, meat-free meal; this salad will take you no more than 5 minutes to prepare. Sprinkle some feta cheese if you want to add a bit more protein to it. This one’s ideal for a weekend lunch with the kids.

Stir fries are quick to make, delicious and versatile, so naturally they would have a place on this list. This stir fry is ready in no time and contains soya beans, a vegetarian protein alternative for a meat free day.

Meat-free dinners
