But how do you cook the perfect potato waffle? Here are a few of the ways you can choose to cook your potato waffles: on the grill, in the oven or even using a toaster!
How To Cook Potato Waffles On The Grill
Potato waffles are tastiest when grilled straight from the freezer. Here’s how to achieve a delightfully crispy waffle:
First, pre-heat your grill. Get as many waffles as you desire then high grill for 6 to 10 minutes. Turn your waffles over occasionally to ensure both sides are cooked.
Cook until your waffles are crisp, golden, and ready to eat! Birds Eye uses real potatoes that vary throughout the year, so the time taken to become crisp and golden may also vary.
How To Cook Potato Waffles In A Toaster
First, place the potato waffles in the toaster, then toast on a medium/high setting.
After the initial ‘pop up’, toast for a second cycle until the waffles are golden yellow in colour.
If you’re happy about the level of toastiness of your waffle, switch off the toaster and leave them to stand for 1 minute. Remove with care while the toaster is still switched off.
CAUTION: Take care removing from the toaster as waffles and toaster will be very hot. Settings may vary between different makes of toaster, please refer to the manufacturer's instructions.
How To Oven Bake Potato Waffles
There’s nothing easier than whacking your waffles into the oven while you concentrate on preparing your toppings.
Pre-heat your oven to 220°C, Fan 200°C, Gas Mark 7.
Cook your waffles for 15 minutes, turning over once to ensure an even bake. Cook until crisp and golden.
