Birds Eye are excited and proud to have worked with the National Schools Partnership to produce a set of teaching resources suitable for Key Stage 2 of the UK national curriculum which will develop pupils’ science, literacy and numeracy skills.

The 3 ‘Veg Power’ lessons and their accompanying resources that have been created will focus on the importance of eating veg, and the benefits of frozen veg, as well as bringing the freezing process to life by learning how our namesake, Clarence Birdseye, brought flash-freezing to the Western world. Pupils will then have the chance to become their very own intrepid explorer and inventor as they tackle the ‘Veg Power’ challenge where they could be in with a chance of winning their school some great prizes designed to generate interest and understanding around growing vegetables.

Teachers can learn more about this initiative, and access the material, by registering on the National Schools Partnership website here
