Field Fresh Sweet Corn and Green Bean Fish Pie

Field Fresh Sweet Corn and Green Bean Fish Pie

Ingredients

  • 120g Birds Eye Field Fresh Supersweet Sweet corn
  • 100g Birds Eye Field Fresh Green Beans
  • 5 medium potatoes
  • 1 x 320g pack of fish pie mix fish
  • 1 small onion- diced
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 knob of butter
  • 2 tbsp plain flour
  • 600ml semi skimmed milk
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley
  • 40g grated cheese
  • Seasoning to taste

To Prepare

  • 1 Cook and mash the potatoes with a little seasoning

  • 2 Cook the Beans and Sweetcorn as per on pack instructions

  • 3 Cook the fish with the onion and bay leaf in the milk for 4 minutes

  • 4 Lift out the cooked fish with a slotted spoon and place in an oven proof dish ready for the pie

  • 5 Make a roux with the butter and the flour, add the fish liquor and stir it in to make a sauce

  • 6 Add the Beans and Sweetcorn to the fish in the dish, pour the sauce over, sprinkle with the parsley

  • 7 Place the mashed potatoes over, fluff with a fork and sprinkle with the grated cheese

  • 8 Cook in a pre-heated oven at 200ºC/ gas mark 6, for approximately 35 minutes
